Jeanne Brown is a criminal defense attorney in Northern Virginia and a member of the Virginia State Bar for over twenty years. She has decades of experience representing clients, adults and juveniles, at all stages of the criminal justice system.

Experience & Background
Jeanne is an experienced and accomplished criminal law attorney, having served as a former Fairfax County Deputy Public Defender where she handled serious, complex, and high-profile cases involving both children and adults. She concentrates on areas such as protective orders and domestic violence, as well as drug possession and distribution, violent crimes, malicious wounding, murder, sexual offenses, rape, aggravated sexual battery, larceny, gun rights restoration, and expungement. A Former Member of the Board of Directors for NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness, Northern Virginia chapter), Jeanne also has experience with juvenile certification cases and mental health and substance abuse issues.
A graduate of the School of Law at the College of Williams & Mary, Jeanne is certified by the Virginia Indigent Defense Commission to accept appointments for indigent clients in all levels of court in both felony and misdemeanor cases. Jeane has volunteered with Legal Services of Northern Virginia (LSNV) for their Domestic Violence program, as well as with the ACTS in Prince William County, and has presented oral arguments, petitions for appeal, and briefs to both the Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Virginia.
